Ever since I made the decision to become a Canva Pro user 4 years ago, I have never looked back. It has been the best investment that I have ever made and is definitely the #1 investment that I would recommend to everyone, no matter who you are (students, teachers, artists, content creators, bloggers, designers, parents, and everyone else)
In this article, I’m going to exclusively highlight the features that Canva Pro users get, that Canva free users don’t. I will explain everything that you can do with Canva Pro, that will save you tons of time and energy that you can use to focus on yourself and your business instead.

Canva Pro users get access to a 100+ million library of high-quality stock photos, videos, icons, elements, illustrations, and audio! (Yes, MILLION) This means that you’ll be able to create the most professional-looking watermark-free content once you become a Canva Pro user. Honestly, just this reason alone, is enough for you to get Canva Pro, because if you were to get premium stock footage from other sites, you’ll have to pay a monthly charge (which is almost the same as the Canva Pro amount) – AND WE ARE STILL AT REASON #1.
2. Pre-Made Templates
As a busy blogger and a full-time university student, I really don’t have enough time to spend on making templates for my designs from scratch. And this is where this feature comes in handy for me. 4. Background Remover
Now, this feature is nothing new to me. I’ve used the traditional background removing tools in other websites and software before. But the thing is, they all require me to press so many buttons and crop many things before I can remove the backgrounds. But with Canva Pro, removing backgrounds is just one click away.
There’s a button called ‘Remove Background’ which automatically detects the background of the image and gets rid of it. If you want to remove more, you can ‘erase’, or if they removed something you wanted, you can always ‘restore’ it back.
I’m pretty sure that I’m the Canva Pro user who uses this feature the MOST in the whole world because I literally use it every single day. No matter what design or content I want to create, this feature always comes in handy for me.
5. One-Click Resizer
Normally, when you create an Instagram post which is usually 1080px x 1080px, and you wish to create an Instagram story for the same post, you’ll need to start a brand new story design (and then copy and paste from the post design). However, Canva Pro users don’t have to go through that. They can easily resize any design to another size with the click of a button.
The ‘Magic Resize’ feature in Canva Pro allows you to resize your designs to ANY size that you want, and it will automatically create a copy, adjust the design and prepare the whole design for you. The best part is, that you don’t need to remember the size of any new design. You can simply type the type of design you want to create and Canva will automatically suggest to you what size you’re looking for. In this case, if you type “Instagram Story”, it will automatically show you “Instagram Story 1080px x 1920px”. How efficient is that?

If you have your own business, you probably have your own logo, brand colors, brand fonts, etc. right? You will be able to drag and drop all your logos and text boxes and maintain consistency in all your designs. And also, Canva Pro allows you to save up to 100 different Brand Kits! So if you’re handling multiple brands, you will definitely find this feature really useful.

One of my favorite features of Canva Pro is how you can invite multiple people to work on the same design simultaneously. You can share your ‘edit link’ with other Canva users to collaborate and design together. This is particularly useful for me because I have a lot of group work that multiple members need to be involved in. You can share designs, templates, and brand kits with your teammates for efficiency.
9. Transparent Background Downloads
After creating designs, Canva Pro users can download their designs with a transparent background. Regular Canva users get to download their designs only in the normal format (which does not have the transparent background option). This is really good if you need to create PNG designs with transparent backgrounds that you want to insert in documents or anything else. The option to download your documents in transparent PNG format comes in really handy when you’re a blogger or a content creator like me. Almost all of my blog article images are using a transparent background to give my readers a better reading experience.
10. Social Post Scheduler
So, once you’re done creating your masterpiece, It’s absolutely time-consuming to go to each and every social media platform to post them one by one.
